The German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the World Food Programme (WFP) invite eligible organizations to respond to the Open Call for application: The Food System Challenge (FSC) Call for applications.
The program is designed to address core challenges of the food system in Lebanon, and more specifically in the sectors of dairy and meat production (cow, goat, sheep), cereals and pulses (and its by-products), protected horticulture (Classical green houses, hydroponics, and aquaponics), and domesticated edible herbs and plants, along the value chain from farming to end-users, and to impact food security, gender, and vulnerable populations.
Applicants are required to prepare a concept note outlining their project idea, objectives, and potential impact. Upon approval of the concept note, applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal. Detailed guidelines for preparing concept notes and proposals are available in the application packet.
Awards are expected to be up to 35,000 US Dollars depending on the type of funding requested, with the winner responsible for a minimum 100% matching amount.
